A 7-day lab with a final performance at Umerigu.
For artists with an ongoing practice.
This lab explores what happens when artistic practice becomes repetitive or fixed. It offers a space to question habits, challenge established methods, and re-engage with the body and performance from a different perspective.
The program includes physical training, guided improvisation, and group composition. Participants will work individually and collectively, with a focus on process rather than final results.
The lab concludes with a shared performance on Saturday, 09.05, based on the material developed during the week.
We provide workspace, breakfast, snacks, and drinks.
Vegetarian lunch is included for the first two days.
Accommodation is available for participants coming from outside Leipzig.
Participation is donation-based, contributing to the costs of food and equipment.
Umerigu has hosted and curated the lab with the residency of 8 international Artists and took care of the catering during their residency.
